Published Wed 24 Jan 2024
The Going For Green & Gold Camp, held at the Sleeman Aquatics Centre in Brisbane from January 19 to 21, was a major success.
Over three days, twenty-four, thirteen, and under athletes enjoyed world-class coaching and support from Krisztina Szedlak, Olympian Bianca Palmer, Ellen McIlwain, and Nicole Furst (junior coach).
The youngest age group worked on technical development, teamwork, and acrobatics. The program includes other great programs, such as a Nutrition workshop, an Olympic journey presentation, and a creative game to Make your own swimsuit, sponsored by Meadore.
National Pathway Coach Krisztina Szedlak commented, "It has been a very busy month between the National camp in Canberra and now the Going For Gold camp in Brisbane, but it has been fantastic to see the enthusiasm of the young athletes and the potential with a couple of seven-year-olds.
