ASA Pathway Conference 2023

Published Wed 01 Mar 2023

Artistic Swimming Australia (ASA) Is excited to announce our very first Artistic Swimming Australia (ASA) Pathway Conference. The conference will be held in conjunction with the 2023 Hancock Prospecting Australian Artistic Swimming Championships this April. This year we are glad to have international experts across multiple facets of the Artistic Swimming sport presenting at the workshops. This Pathway Conference is the perfect opportunity to bring together all the stakeholders of the Pathway (coaches, experts, parents, administrators, and support partners) to network, share learning, and develop a learning hub of continual development. Best of all, it is FREE to ASA members.

Just register on the individual workshop link to attend in person or virtually.

Day 1: The conference will kick start with World Aquatic (AQUA)’s Evaluator Gabriela Viglino who will be running a judges’ and coaches’ workshop on the 6th of April, before the commencement of our Nationals events.

Day 2: This will be followed by ASA’s Performance Director – Richard Vaughan, presenting Paris 2024 Cycle Pathway System Overview. We have a lot of new moving parts to the performance pathway, and Richard will go through the new programmes from clubs up to see the Team Australia national team.

Day 3: We have the pleasure of having Australian Senior Artistic Swimming Team Head Coach – Paula Klamburg run a session on Winning Foundations. Paula, an Olympic and multi-time World Championships medallist will share more insights into what it takes to win and perform at the highest level within the sport of Artistic Swimming.

Day 4: We are delighted to have international best-selling author and speaker Allistair McCaw on board to run a workshop based on one of his best-selling titles, “7 Keys to Being a Great Coach”.

Day 5: ASA’s National Pathway Coach – Krisztina Szedlak will be running a workshop on the newly implemented Athlete Management System (AMS) and Individual Athlete Performance Plans (IAPP). This workshop will provide essential knowledge on the functions and utilisation of the programs, and how they will integrate into our categorisation of athletes in the future.
