Apply Now - ASAI Coach Scholarship Program

Overview

Artistic Swimming Australia (ASAI) has received funding from the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) to assist in the development of pathways coaches.  One of the strategies will be the attendance of pathway coaches at national training camps.

Scholarship Details

Successful candidates will receive the following:

  • Invitation to 2 National Training Camps in the 2021-2022 period
  • Flights, accommodation, transfers and meals during the camp
  • 2 x 1 hour mentoring sessions with the Australian National Coach
  • Access to AIS Coach Self-Reflection Tool for the 2021-2022 period
  • Access to AIS World Class to World Best conference

Candidates will be required to present two coach professional development workshops for their home state’s coaches in the 2021-2022 period to upskill their community with the knowledge gained at the National Training Camp.  Candidates will also be required to attend 75% of the ASAI Webinar Series.

How to Apply

Applications should also include:

  • Letter of support from Club
  • Current Coaching CV
  • Creative submission – written proposal, infographic or 2-3 minute video

Applicants are asked to be creative, innovative and thorough with their submission which demonstrates and addresses the below selection criteria:

  • An ambition to coach at the highest level
  • A thirst for knowledge and learning
  • Willingness to give back to the community

Applications must be submitted via email to Kim Richardson, Pathways Coordinator (kim.r@artisticswimming.org.au) no later than 5pm AEST, Friday, 28th May.

Applications will be reviewed by Elissa Morley (High Performance Pathways Director), Kim Richardson (Pathways Coordinator) and Bobbie Dawson (National Coaching Director).  Successful applicants will be notified by 5pm AEST, Friday 18th June.
