What is the Athlete Management System (AMS)?

The Athlete Management System (AMS) web-based database (with an app) allows athletes and coaches around Australia to track their training and share information to help educate and inform decision-making.

By collaborating with a shared performance purpose, we can help each athlete in the high-performance pathway maximise their potential.

All athletes are required to be on the AMS to compete at trials. All trials data will be stored in the AMS.

How does it work?

Wellbeing

Wellbeing measures provide a simple monitoring tool for coaches and support staff to monitor acute changes in athlete state.

  • It can record information on how long and how hard the athletes trained for

  • It can capture information on how well you slept and for how many hours

  • It can highlight energy levels and muscles soreness

  • It helps to make more informed decisions about the athlete’s readiness to train and compete.

  • It can provide direction on training and performance by identifying when to train hard and when to increase recovery.

What do we collect?

All current National Approved Testing Protocols, anything you feel can be helpful to improve your performance.

The AMS can be used as your personal training log against your own individual training plan. Work out what worked and what did not work from historical data. Why did you get injured? You can look back at the records and training schedule.

Performance Review – Individual Athlete Plans

We will also use the AMS for your individual performance reviews and annual planning sessions.
