The Artistic Swimming family is incredibly proud that the Hon Dr. Gina Rinehart AO is our Patron.

Mrs. Rinehart has been a long-term dedicated Patron and Sponsor of artistic swimming, commencing in March 2014 when she chose to financially assist SynchroWA Inc (now Artistic Swimming WA), when it was in difficulties. In February 2015, Mrs. Rinehart expanded her support to include Synchronised Swimming Australia Inc (now Artistic Swimming Australia), becoming Patron for both West Australia and Artistic Swimming Australia. Her enthusiastic input and caring support has truly changed the sport in Australia.

In 2021 Mrs. Rinehart committed to supporting the sport through to the Paris Olympics in 2024 and subject to continued progress, the sponsorship will continue to the Brisbane Olympics of 2032. Mrs Rinehart has significantly increased the level of patronage and the new funding will be truly transformational.

Former SSAI President, Brian Miller commented, “Mrs. Rinehart has been a fantastic Patron for both the WA and National organisation for several years, and our future is bright because of her increased commitment to the sport. Mrs. Rinehart is an outstanding Australian and she genuinely cares for our swimmers and their dedication towards representing Australia to the best of their ability. Her input since 2014 has allowed young people to achieve their ambitions which without her support, would not have been possible. Gina Rinehart is a warm and perfect role model for our swimmers, whether pool side, or inviting them to her homes, or being with her elsewhere. As I say often, they are very lucky indeed! “
